A
Pair of Yearling Uluru Womas
|
Description: This unrelated pair of Uluru Womas hatched in January of 2008 and so are approaching 18 months of age. This line of Womas originated from the western end of the MacDonnell ranges around Uluru and we have been maintaining this form in captivity for more than a decade now. Although there is marked variation between Woma populations across their range from the northern Tanami desert to the more central populations, these Womas tend to be slightly larger than the northern Tanami Womas and have more evenly spaced and darker banding that still remains distinct into old age. Both these pythons are excellent feeders on thawed or fresh rats. The male is about 1.0 metre in length and the female is 1.1 metres. We have found that Womas breed quite readily in their second year. We hold onto nice stock like these each year just in case they are needed to supplement our breeding stock. Normally we would sell a pair of womas like these for over $1,500.
