An Adult Male Arnhem Black-headed Python

Description: This male Black-headed Python hatched towards the end of 2004 and so is about 4.5 years old. His line originates from near the Arnhem Highway where the BHPs are quite different from the NT forms further inland that look more like the Queensland BHPs. Although its hard to show in a picture, these animals are more of a chocolate brown with a creamy background and a white belly with few markings. Last season he proved himself to be a good breeding animal. He is an excellent feeder eating both thawed and fresh rats. As can be seen from the picture below, he is a good sized snake. We sell hatchling males of this type for $770 and you would normally expect to pay quite a bit more for a nice proven male like this one.
